🔌 Function

Carries fuel along a flexible run between two points in the system, tolerating the relative movement between engine and installation.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Diesel smell and staining along the hose run
• Weeping at an end union
• Cover cracked, glazed or gone hard
• Chafe damage at a support or edge
• Air ingress giving a hunting idle or reluctant starting

🛠️ Service Notes

• Hose 3830307 is also 445 mm long but weighs 0.152 kg, supersedes 866702 and covers 31 applications across TAMD, TMD, D, TD and MD engines — the length alone will not separate the two, so order by part number
• Fit new sealing washers at the unions and check for weeps under pressure
• Support the hose along its run so it cannot rub
