⚙️ Key Features

• Late type
• Supersedes 3836221
• 1.41 kg
• 16 D series applications

🔌 Function

Routes air or exhaust gas between two components as a rigid formed tube, keeping the run clear of the surrounding installation.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Sooty or oily streaking at a joint, showing gas is escaping
• Cracks at the welds or at a bend
• Loss of boost or a change in exhaust note
• Flange faces distorted so a new gasket still will not seal
• Rust scaling or a chafed patch where the tube touches a bracket

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is the late version — check that the mating parts on your engine match the late arrangement before fitting, as the earlier 3836221 build was dimensioned differently
• Fit new gaskets and clamps at both ends and check the flange faces are flat
