Joins two points in the cooling circuit as a short formed pipe, carrying flow across the gap between them.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Coolant weeping or crusted residue at either end
  • Corrosion pitting on the pipe or at a connection
  • Ends belled, scored or distorted so a seal will not hold
  • Hairline crack at a bend
  • Coolant loss visible only when the system is pressurised

  • Renew the o-rings, seals or clamps at each end while the pipe is out — the connections fail more often than the pipe
  • Check the bore is clear and the sealing surfaces are clean before fitting
