🔌 Function

Carries exhaust gas away from the manifold or turbocharger outlet along a fixed route, holding the joints in alignment and keeping the hot gas contained.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Sooty black staining or streaking around a joint
• Exhaust fumes or smell reaching the engine space
• Noise level rising as a joint opens up
• Cracks at welds, bends or flange faces
• Corrosion thinning or perforating the wall

🛠️ Service Notes

• At 58.97 kg this is a two-person lift with a hoist or sling — do not take the weight on the flange studs
• Gasket 3838953 also lists 3832694 among the numbers it replaces, so confirm which item the old number was ordered as before substituting
• Renew the exhaust joint gaskets and fasteners while the pipe is off
