🔌 Function

Passes engine coolant across raw water cooled tubes so heat leaves the engine circuit without the two water flows ever mixing.

  • Running temperature climbing, especially at higher loads
  • Coolant appearing in the raw water side, or raw water in the coolant
  • Coolant loss with no external leak
  • Tube stack furred with scale or blocked with weed and debris
  • Corrosion or weeping at the end covers

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the end cover seals and check the anode in the exchanger when fitting
  • Clean the raw water side and cure whatever caused the blockage, or the new exchanger will foul just as quickly
  • At nearly 48 kg this is a heavy item needing two people or mechanical lifting
