⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Power falling away at higher revs, or surging under load
• Hard starting, or the engine dying after a period at speed
• Fuel starvation that clears briefly after a filter change
• Water or dark sludge visible when the filter is drained
• Filter body corroded, weeping or previously overtightened

🛠️ Service Notes

• Note the higher capacity, so it is not swapped for the smaller standard filter used on the carburetted engines
• Fill and prime the filter, smear the seal with clean fuel, and bleed the system fully before starting
• Dispose of the old filter and its fuel properly, and find the source if you keep finding water in it
• Always refer to the operator's manual for the recommended maintenance and service intervals for your engine and drive
