Carries oil from the sump pick-up to the oil pump inlet, keeping the pump fed with a clear suction path.

  • Oil pressure low or slow to come up when cold
  • Pressure warning flickering at idle or in a turn
  • Aerated, frothy oil on the dipstick
  • Pipe cracked, chafed or split at a bend or joint
  • Pick-up gauze blocked with sludge or debris

  • Renew the sealing at each joint while the sump is off - an air leak on the suction side costs pressure without leaking oil
  • Check the pick-up gauze and the sump for debris before blaming the pump
