⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Oil or water seeping from the joint it seals
- Ring flattened, nicked or torn when it comes out
- Rubber hardened, glazed or crazed with age
- Ring has taken a permanent set and no longer springs back
🛠️ Service Notes
- Renew rather than refit an o-ring once it has been compressed
- Clean the groove and check it for burrs, then lubricate the ring lightly before assembly
