🔌 Function

Terminates a cable end so it can be connected mechanically and electrically to a stud, post or mating connector.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Green or white corrosion at the terminal and up into the cable
• Warm or discoloured terminal after running, showing a high resistance joint
• Voltage drop across the connection under load
• Cable pulling out of the crimp, or strands broken at the barrel
• Intermittent operation of the circuit that changes if the terminal is moved

🛠️ Service Notes

• Cable sleeve 3855025 is listed for the same 42 applications and is the usual partner for this terminal
• Crimp with the correct tool, then check the joint by pulling on it - a soldered-only or hand-squeezed terminal fails in a marine installation
