Seals the joint by being squeezed into its groove, so fuel cannot pass between the two faces.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fuel smell or a weep at the joint
  • O-ring flattened, nicked or extruded out of its groove
  • Rubber hardened, cracked or swollen by fuel
  • Air drawn in on a suction joint, causing hard starting

🛠️ Service Notes

  • An o-ring is single-use — fit new, lubricate it only with something compatible with fuel, and take care not to nick it going in
  • Check the groove and the mating face for damage, as a scored groove will leak past a perfect o-ring
