Carries cooling water along a short leg of the circuit, flexing to absorb movement between the two spigots.

• Water weeping or dripping at the clamped ends
• Rubber gone soft, spongy or swollen when squeezed
• Cracks or splits at the ends where the hose is stretched onto its spigots
• The inner wall collapsing under suction
• White salt staining around the clamps
