  • Weak or no water flow at the exhaust outlet
  • Overheating that comes on quickly under load
  • Rattling or squealing from the pump, or play in the shaft
  • Water weeping from the pump body or from the weep hole
  • Rubber debris in the strainer or heat exchanger from a shed impeller

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the strainer, inlet screen and hose for a collapsed section before condemning the pump, since a restriction upstream gives the same symptoms
  • Never run the pump dry, even briefly, when priming or testing
  • Renew the impeller, cover gasket and seals as a set while the pump is off
