A genuine used Volvo Penta gimbal-ring housing for selected XDP composite sterndrive transom assemblies.

The ring supports the sterndrive vertically and allows steering movement around the upper and lower pivot points. It works with the related steering shaft, bushings and transom shield.

🔌 Function

The gimbal ring supports the sterndrive and transmits steering input while allowing the drive to trim and tilt. Its pivot bores must remain dimensionally accurate to prevent steering play and drive misalignment.
