Damps torsional vibration in the rotating assembly so the shaking is not passed on through the drive line.

  • Vibration or a boom that comes in at particular engine speeds
  • Rubber element cracked, perished or extruded out of the joint
  • Outer ring visibly out of line with the hub
  • Timing marks appearing to wander
  • Rumble or knock from the front of the engine
