🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: DPX

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.015 inch oversize
  • 0.175 kg
  • 96 applications across the DPX series
  • Middle of three sizes with 3861336 and 3861338

🔌 Function

Seals the combustion chamber during compression and firing, then opens to release burnt gas into the exhaust port.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Loss of compression on one cylinder, with rough idle
  • Burnt or blowing note through the exhaust
  • Head face burnt, pitted or notched on strip-down
  • Stem worn or bent, giving excess guide clearance
  • Valve clearances closing up as the seat recedes

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Measure the guide before ordering, as the oversize step must match the reamed size and not the wear found
  • Only 14 grams separate this from the standard valve 3861336, so the size marking rather than the weight is the guide
  • Renew the valve spring 3861335 at the same time

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
