⚙️ Key Features

• Magnesium, for use in freshwater
• 0.068 kg
• 9 applications across the XDP and TSK series
• Marine Propulsion group

🔌 Function

Corrodes in place of the drive's metal, giving up material to protect the surrounding castings and fittings.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Anode wasted away, broken up or gone from its mounting
• Anode hardly worn at all, which points to a poor bonding connection
• Pitting or white powdery corrosion appearing on the drive castings
• Paint blistering around drive fittings
• Anode fixings corroded so it is no longer in electrical contact

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is a magnesium anode specified for freshwater use, so do not fit it where the boat lies in salt or brackish water
• Fit anodes to bare, unpainted metal and check the bonding connections, since an unworn anode is protecting nothing
• Renew when roughly half wasted rather than waiting for it to disappear
