🔌 Function
Complete duo prop sterndrive that turns the engine output through the bevel gears to the two contra-rotating propeller shafts, and carries the steering and trim movement.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Oil weeping from the seals or an oily film on the leg
- Drive oil milky or emulsified, showing water ingress
- Whine or growl from the gears that changes with load
- Vibration or a knock when engaging gear
- Corrosion and paint blistering on the castings
🛠️ Service Notes
- This and the 1.95:1 unit 3868602 carry an identical published weight, so the ratio marking is the only way to tell them apart
