🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta coil from the Marine Propulsion group, weighing 0.281 kg. It replaces three earlier numbers, 3803834, 3803906 and 3857083, and the earlier listing recorded for those numbers was an inboard drive, reman, so the current number is a component where the old entry described a complete unit. No engine fitment list is published against it.
⚙️ Key Features

🔌 Function
Converts the electrical signal from the control system into the magnetic force that shifts the valve it sits on.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coil silent when it should click or buzz
- Coil body cracked, swollen or heat-discoloured
- Connector pins corroded or the lead chafed
- Coil found open circuit or shorted when measured
🛠️ Service Notes
- Coil 3883579 replaces 3803834 and 3803906 as well, and valve 3883575 also replaces 3857083, so confirm which of the three you need before ordering
- Check supply voltage and earth at the connector before replacing the coil, as a wiring fault gives the same symptoms
