3886384 Heat Shield | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta heat shield from the Inlet and Exhaust System group, weighing 3.72 kg and listed for 9 applications across the TAD series. It consolidates two earlier numbers, superseding 3837706 and 889179, one of which was catalogued as a bracket, so an engine documented with a bracket at this position now takes this shield.

🔌 Function

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Hoses, looms or components behind the shield scorched or hardened
• Rattle or drumming from a cracked or loose shield
• Shield cracked at a mounting hole or heat distorted
• Fasteners missing or slack
• Hot smell or heat damage appearing where the shield should be protecting

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the mounting arrangement against the old part, since one of the numbers this replaces was listed as a bracket and the fixings may differ
