⚙️ Key Features

• For engines up to serial number 1016088014
• 0.318 kg
• Supersedes 3808029
• 4 D series applications

🔌 Function

Keeps the heat of the exhaust or inlet inside the pipework, protecting nearby components and hands from the hot surface.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Scorched or discoloured paint and wiring near the exhaust
• Insulation charred, hardened or crumbling
• Engine compartment noticeably hotter than it used to be
• Insulation loose, sagging or missing its retainers
• Oil or fuel soaked into the material

🛠️ Service Notes

• The serial breakpoint is what decides between this and insulation 3887844, which carries no serial restriction - read the engine serial before ordering
• Both numbers replace the same earlier insulating cover 3808029, so an old-number search returns two current parts
• Never refit oil-soaked insulation - it is a fire risk against a hot exhaust
