🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

• Volvo Penta 3.0GLP-E

⚙️ Key Features

• 5.350 kg
• Supersedes 3850491, previously listed as a pump
• One listed application
• Steering group

🔌 Function

Drives the hydraulic steering circuit, supplying the pressure and flow that moves the steering ram.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Steering heavy or slow to respond
• Whining or groaning from the pump, worse on lock
• Fluid weeping at the shaft seal or the unions
• Steering fluid low, foamy or discoloured
• Assistance falling away when the engine is loaded

🛠️ Service Notes

• Steering is a safety-critical system - after fitting, bleed the circuit fully, check hard over to hard over both ways and look for leaks under load before the boat is used
• Flush the circuit and renew the fluid if the old pump failed internally, or debris will destroy the new one
• Only one application is listed against this pump, so confirm the mounting and port arrangement against the unit coming off
