• Listed for 12 applications
• Heaviest of the family, against 3888684 and 3888686 at about 3.5 kg

🔌 Function

Carries exhaust gas away from the engine along a fixed route to the next section of the exhaust system.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Black sooty deposits or wet streaks at a joint
• Exhaust fumes or noise noticeable in the engine space
• Corrosion pitting or a blown section in the pipe wall
• Cracking at a weld, bend or flange
• Flange faces no longer flat, so the joint keeps leaking

🛠️ Service Notes

• The near-kilogram weight difference does separate this pipe from its two siblings, but still order by part number
• Renew every gasket and clamp disturbed, and support the pipe so its weight is not hanging on the flanges
• Rectify any leak into the engine space before the boat is used, as exhaust gas carries carbon monoxide
