Genuine BRP Evinrude Johnson Water-Pump Impeller and Drive-Key Assembly - Part Number: 0396725

A genuine BRP flexible water-pump impeller for selected Johnson and Evinrude 40HP through 70HP two-stroke outboards, with additional applications determined by the fitted gearcase.

The impeller rotates inside the stainless water-pump cup and draws cooling water through the lower-unit intake. It is normally installed with drive key 0331107, which locks the impeller to the driveshaft. Sierra packages its corresponding replacement with the drive key included.

🔌 Function

The impeller creates the suction and pressure needed to circulate raw cooling water through the powerhead, exhaust passages and thermostat system.

  • Weak or absent tell-tale stream

  • Impeller blades are cracked or permanently curved
  • Rubber fragments appear in cooling passages
