🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta rubber plug from the engine group, weighing 0.020 kg and listed for 2 applications across TWD and TD series engines. It supersedes part number 20411870, the same old number also shown as superseded by the flywheel housing 3978207, so check which part you actually need before ordering.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TWD740VE
  • Volvo Penta TD640VE
  • Engine Family: TWD, TD

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.020 kg
  • 2 applications across TWD and TD series engines

  • Also supersedes Volvo part numbers 3826499 and 3826500

🔌 Function

Blanks off an opening in the engine and keeps oil in and dirt out.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping or dripping around the plug
  • Plug perished, hardened or cracked
  • Plug pushed out or sitting proud of its opening
  • Bore or recess corroded so the plug will not seal

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Two different current parts show the same superseded number, so confirm you need the rubber plug and not the housing 3978207 before ordering
  • Clean the recess before fitting and seat the plug fully rather than tapping it in at an angle
