⚙️ Key Features

• From 2008 week 23 onwards
• 53.98 kg
• 60 applications across the D and TAD series

🔌 Function

Cools the compressed air leaving the turbocharger before it enters the cylinders, so the charge is denser and combustion temperatures are lower.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Power down and exhaust smoke up with higher charge temperature
• Boost lost with a hiss or whistle from a joint
• Oil or water pooling in the cooler or the inlet tract
• Core leaking under pressure test, internally or externally
• Fins blocked, damaged or corroded so heat transfer drops

🛠️ Service Notes

• Confirm the build — this is the later production cooler with cast iron pipes from 2008 week 23 onwards
• At nearly 54 kg this is a heavy, freight-handled item; plan lifting and support before removing the old one
• Pressure test the replacement and clear the inlet tract of oil or debris before fitting
