🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta O-ring from the Marine Propulsion group, weighing 0.091 kg. It supersedes part number 11989803. No engine fitment list is published against the current number, and at 91 grams it is a substantial large-diameter ring rather than a small seal.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Marine Propulsion group
  • 0.091 kg, so a large-diameter ring
  • Supersedes 11989803

🔌 Function

Seals a joint between two parts by being squeezed into its groove, blocking the leak path.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Weeping or seepage at the sealed joint
  • Ring flattened, nibbled or cut on one side
  • Ring hardened, so it takes a permanent set
  • Pressure loss from the assembly it seals

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Piston ring 40005557 also lists 11989803 as its superseded number, so one old number is claimed by both - order by the number your assembly calls for
  • Lubricate the ring and its groove on assembly and check the groove for burrs that would nick it

🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference
