🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta oil filter housing from the Lubricating and Oil System group, weighing 5.866 kg. No engine fitment list is published against it, so confirm the number against your engine before ordering.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Lubricating and Oil System group
  • 5.866 kg
  • No fitment list published, so confirm by number

🔌 Function

Carries the oil filter and routes pressurised oil through it, holding the filter's seal and the housing's internal valving in the oil path.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping at the housing joint or around the filter seat
  • Low or fluctuating oil pressure
  • Filter seat face damaged or corroded so the seal will not hold
  • Cracks around the mounting or at a threaded boss
  • Oil found dirty despite a new filter, pointing to a bypass fault

🛠️ Service Notes

  • At 5.866 kg this is a heavy casting - support it while the fixings are undone
  • Fit a new filter and new joint seals with the housing, and check for leaks with the engine running before closing up

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
