• Industrial and Marine Equipment group

🔌 Function

Drives water sideways through a stern tunnel so the back of the boat can be pushed to port or starboard when manoeuvring.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Thruster runs weakly or cuts out after a few seconds of use
• Loud clatter or grinding from the tunnel
• Motor turns but no thrust, pointing to a sheared drive or safety pin
• Water in the locker or oil in the tunnel water
• Breaker or main fuse tripping when the thruster is used

🛠️ Service Notes

• At over 70 kg this is a freight-only item and needs mechanical lifting - do not plan to handle it by hand
• Check battery capacity, cable size and the main fuse before condemning the unit, as voltage drop under a heavy thruster load mimics a failure
• Renew seals, drive pin and safety pin while the unit is out
