🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta rubber cushion for the low noise oil pan, from the Engine group, weighing 0.020 kg and listed for 29 applications across the TD, TAMD and TWD series. It supersedes part numbers 479491 and 847799.

🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: TD, TAMD, TWD

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • For the low noise oil pan only
  • 0.020 kg
  • Supersedes 479491 and 847799
  • 29 applications across TD, TAMD and TWD engines
  • Quantity varies by assembly, most commonly 43

🔌 Function

Isolates the low noise oil pan from the block so pan panel vibration is damped instead of being radiated as noise.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Rubber perished, cracked or crumbling away
  • Drumming or rattle from the sump area at idle
  • Cushion flattened so the pan sits metal to metal
  • Oil weeping at the pan joint where the cushion has collapsed

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the whole set rather than one cushion, since a new one stands taller than its flattened neighbours
  • Only the low noise pan uses these cushions, so check which pan is fitted before ordering
