⚙️ Key Features

• Standard size, not an oversize
• 0.039 kg
• Supersedes 466373
• 66 applications across six engine series

🔌 Function

Provides the hardened ring in the cylinder head that the valve face closes against to seal the combustion chamber.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Loss of compression on one cylinder, with hard starting
• Burnt or pocketed seating face
• Valve recession, so clearances close up between services
• Seat loose or sunk in its counterbore
• Cracks running from the seat into the head

🛠️ Service Notes

• When the head counterbore is already opened up, valve seat 421316 is the 0.20 mm oversize version of the same seat
• Valve seats 422011 and 422012 are also listed as standard but cover a much narrower group of engines, so match on part number rather than on the word standard
• Fit the seat to the specified interference and recut the seat and valve as a pair
