Genuine BRP Evinrude Johnson 62°C / 143°F Thermostat Assembly - Part Number: 0435491

A genuine BRP cooling-system thermostat for selected Johnson and Evinrude V4 and V6 two-stroke outboards.

The thermostat remains closed during initial warm-up and begins opening near its calibrated temperature, allowing cooling water to circulate through the cylinder block while maintaining sufficient engine temperature for clean combustion and stable running.

The thermostat regulates cooling-water flow so the engine warms promptly but receives increased circulation as cylinder-head temperature rises.
