Aftermarket Johnson/Evinrude looper V4/V6/V8 carburettor kit - Replacement Part Number: 439078

A service kit for selected Johnson and Evinrude loop-charged V4, V6 and V8 two-stroke outboard carburettors. Despite the supplied MerCruiser wording, 439078 and 435752 are OMC/BRP outboard references. It does not suit the 60-degree V4/V6 family that uses kit 438996.

🔌 Function

The kit restores the inlet-valve and sealing components in each carburettor. Correctly servicing the complete carburettor bank maintains balanced cylinder mixture and prevents lean-cylinder damage.

Common signs of failure:

• Hard starting or excessive choke/enrichment required

• Rough idle, hunting or repeated low-speed stalling

• Hesitation, flat spots or intake backfire during acceleration

• Fuel leakage, flooding or an incorrect float-bowl level

• Lean surging, reduced power or fuel starvation under load
