🔧 Product Description

A 12-volt starter for selected Mercury and Mariner four-cylinder EFI four-stroke outboards, including 40HP, 50HP, 60HP and Jet 40 applications. It replaces earlier 50-884044T, 50-888161T and 50-859377T starter references.
The engine family must be confirmed carefully because Mercury also produced three-cylinder, carburetted, BigFoot and later Command Thrust engines in the same horsepower range with different starters.

• Slow cranking that causes low-voltage EFI faults
• Starter spins without engaging
• Intermittent hot-start failure
• Excessive noise from worn pinion or flywheel teeth
