A 12-volt permanent-magnet direct-drive starter for selected Mercury and Mariner V6 carburetted and EFI two-stroke outboards. The eight-tooth counter-clockwise unit is most strongly documented on 135HP, 150HP, 175HP, 200HP and selected 225HP engines, with broader aftermarket catalogues also listing specific high-performance V6 applications.
The engine horsepower alone is not sufficient for selection. Confirm the original 50-893893/50-79472/50-884238T starter family, eight-tooth pinion and mounting dimensions.

🔌 Function
