Aftermarket Force/Mercury Sport Jet starter motor - Part Number: 50-898265003

A 12-volt permanent-magnet direct-drive starter for selected Force outboards and Mercury Sport Jet powerheads. The nine-tooth counter-clockwise motor replaces the 50-819968T4 starter family and is used on 75-120HP Force outboards plus 90-120HP Sport Jet packages.

This is not a conventional MerCruiser sterndrive starter. Fitment must be confirmed by the engine or Sport Jet powerhead serial number.

🔌 Function

The starter engages the flywheel and cranks the outboard or Sport Jet powerhead until combustion begins.

• No crank or only a relay click
