Aftermarket MerCruiser GM marine starter motor - Part Number: 50-99417A2
A 12-volt marine starter for selected early MerCruiser GM inline-four, V6 and V8 engines using the smaller 12.75-inch flywheel and straight-across lower mounting pattern. The original nine-tooth 50-99417A2 assembly has been replaced in Mercury service by conversion kit 8M0090697.
The later kit uses an eleven-tooth starter with dedicated bracket and fasteners. A bare replacement motor must not be substituted unless the pinion, nose, bolt pattern and flywheel engagement are confirmed.

🔌 Function
