🔧 Product Description
Genuine BRP Evinrude E-TEC Throttle-Position Sensor Kit - Part Number: 5006484
A genuine BRP throttle-position sensor used across a broad range of Evinrude E-TEC outboards.
The TPS mounts to the throttle-body or throttle-shaft assembly and converts throttle angle into a variable voltage signal. The EMM uses this information to calculate driver demand, fuel delivery, ignition timing and engine-load response.
⚙️ Key Features
• Genuine BRP throttle-position sensor kit
• Correct OEM reference 5006484
• Replaces earlier sensor 0586671
• Used on small inline engines through large V6 E-TEC models
• Aftermarket direct-fit sensors are available
🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference
OEM Supersession Chain:
• 5006484 → Replaces 0586671
• 0586671 earlier BRP throttle-position sensor
OEM / Related Numbers:
• 5006484
• 0586671
• 586671
• Manufacturer marking found on some OEM sensors: CTS 06542
Aftermarket / Verified Equivalents:
• EZROAD: 5006484 replacement TPS
• Aftermarket direct-fit TPS sensors sold under 5006484 / 586671
• CTS 06542 is the marking associated with documented OEM sensors
• ACDelco 213-895 / CTS automotive crossover is commonly reported, but is not a BRP-approved marine interchange and must be independently verified before use
🚤 Compatibility
Commonly used on:
• Evinrude E-TEC throttle bodies
• Inline two-cylinder and three-cylinder engines
• V4 and V6 E-TEC engines
• Mechanical and selected electronic-throttle applications
Typically suits:
• Engine models:
• Evinrude E-TEC 30HP-90HP applications where specified
• Evinrude E-TEC 115HP and 130HP
• Evinrude E-TEC 150HP and 175HP
• Evinrude E-TEC 200HP and 225HP
• Evinrude E-TEC 250HP and 300HP
• 3.3L and 3.4L V6 engines whose sensor diagram specifies 5006484
• HP Range: Approximately 30HP - 300HP
• Engine Type: Evinrude E-TEC direct-injection two-stroke outboard
• Year Range: Primarily mid-2000s through late E-TEC production
🔌 Function
The sensor reports throttle-shaft angle to the EMM through a changing voltage signal, allowing the engine controller to match fuel and ignition commands to throttle demand.
Common signs of failure:
• Engine will not accelerate normally
• Idle speed is unstable
• Engine remains in reduced-power mode
• TPS diagnostic code is recorded
• Reported throttle percentage jumps or drops out
• Engine hesitates when the throttle is moved
• Sensor voltage is outside specification
• Connector terminals are corroded
• TPS calibration cannot be completed
📦 Condition
• Genuine BRP part
• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
