Genuine BRP Remote Oil Tank Pickup Filter - Part Number: 5010685

A genuine BRP oil filter for selected Evinrude and Johnson remote two-stroke oil-tank systems. The filter is fitted to the oil pickup assembly inside the remote reservoir and prevents contaminants from entering the oil hose, primer bulb, VRO pump or E-TEC oil-injection system.

Part number 5010685 replaces the earlier 0174377 filter and is itself replaced in current BRP service catalogues by 0177368.

🔌 Function

The filter screens two-stroke oil as it leaves the remote reservoir, preventing dirt, tank debris and degraded oil deposits from entering the oil hose and injection pump.

Common signs of failure:

• Low-oil or no-oil warning despite oil being present in the tank

• Restricted oil flow through the pickup hose

• Primer bulb remains collapsed or does not refill

• Filter visibly dark, contaminated or coated with deposits

• Air bubbles appearing in the oil-supply hose
