🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta washer listed for 11 applications on D series engines, consolidating two earlier numbers, 940097 and 955895. Those older numbers appear in earlier listings under names that do not describe a washer, including a transom shield, a spacer and a seawater pump, so order against the current number.

⚙️ Key Features

  • Consolidates 940097 and 955895
  • 11 applications on D series engines
  • Earlier listings of the old numbers used unrelated names
  • Order by part number
  • Quantity varies by assembly, most commonly 12
  • Also supersedes Volvo part numbers 10614, 11986, 824128, 826593, 906827, 951718 and 951719

🔌 Function

Spreads the fastener's clamp load over a wider area and protects the surface beneath the head or nut.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Washer dished or deformed on removal
  • Fretting marks where it seats
  • Corrosion pitting through the face
  • Fastener slack after the washer has bedded in

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Because two older numbers roll into this one, check quantity against your parts list rather than assuming one per old number
  • The names carried by the superseded numbers do not match a washer — confirm the position before ordering
