⚙️ Key Features

• 0.018 kg
• Supersedes 968955
• 3 applications on D series engines
• Expansion type — seals by gripping the bore, not by a thread

🔌 Function

Seals a machined casting hole by expanding against its walls when driven home.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Damp patch or drip below the plug in the casting
• Plug visibly corroded or scaled at its face
• Plug standing proud or pushed out of its bore
• Rust staining trailing away from the plug

🛠️ Service Notes

• Clean the bore and check it for corrosion pitting before driving the new plug in — a pitted bore will not seal
• Drive the plug squarely to the depth given in the manual for your engine
• Use the sealant the manual specifies rather than fitting dry
