πŸ”§ Product Description

Hexagon screw supplied as a genuine Volvo Penta part, listed at approximately 0.002 kg. Check the thread size, length and head size against the screw you removed.

βš™οΈ Key Features

  • Genuine Volvo Penta hexagon screw, part number 60113756
  • Listed weight approximately 0.002 kg β€” a small fastener
  • Thread size, length and head size must be matched against the screw removed
  • Category: Fasteners and Fixings

πŸ”Œ Function

A hexagon-head threaded fastener that clamps and retains a component at its mounting point.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fasteners found loose or backed off at a routine check, or turning with no resistance
  • A joint, flange or gasket that seeps or blows and will not stay sealed however often it is nipped up
  • Rounded, burred or chewed heads that no longer take a socket or spanner cleanly
  • Corrosion, damaged threads or a necked-down, stretched shank found on removal
  • A sheared screw, or a screw that has seized and broken off in the casting

πŸ› οΈ Service Notes

  • Check the length, thread and strength grade of the replacement against the screw you removed β€” engine fasteners are chosen for a specific clamp load, and a longer or softer screw is not a substitute
  • Clean the threads in the component and make sure the mating faces are clean and flat before assembly; dirt, paint or old sealant in a joint feels like tightness and leaves the joint loose
  • Tighten to the torque figure and the tightening sequence given in the workshop manual for your engine, working up progressively rather than pulling each screw down in one go
  • Use thread locking or sealing compound only where the manual calls for it, and renew the locking washer, tab washer or nut that works with the screw
  • Renew rather than reuse screws that are corroded, thread-damaged or visibly stretched, and any screw the manual tightens by torque-plus-angle

πŸ“¦ Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
