  • Volvo Penta 627SV

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.009 kg
  • 5 applications
  • Lighter than snap ring 60115857 at 0.012 kg

🔌 Function

Locates a bearing, shaft or pin axially by seating in a machined groove and taking the thrust load against the groove wall.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Knocking or thumping as a component moves against its stop
  • Ring found sprung out of its groove or lying in the housing
  • Ring opened out and no longer holding tension
  • Groove wall peened or worn wide
  • Ring cracked at the lug where the pliers grip

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit new, since a snap ring loses its grip once it has been sprung open for removal
  • Check the groove for peening, because a worn groove will let a good ring jump out again
  • Make sure the ring is fully home all the way round before the assembly is loaded

📦 Condition

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
