🔧 Product Description

Genuine Used Mercury 7.5HP / 9.8HP Manual-Start Flywheel - Part Number: 6105A9

A genuine pre-owned Mercury flywheel for selected twin-cylinder 7.5HP and 9.8HP manual-start two-stroke outboards.

The full component-style reference may be shown as 251-6105A9.

This flywheel does not use the large electric-starter ring gear found on electric-start assemblies. It carries the ignition magnets and recoil-starter engagement features required by compatible engines.

• Compare the crankshaft taper, magnet layout and recoil-starter engagement profile.

🔌 Function

The flywheel stores rotating energy and causes its permanent magnets to pass the stator and trigger components.

• Cracked or loose magnets

• Damaged keyway

• Flywheel taper is fretted

• Recoil-start engagement surfaces are worn

• Ignition output is weak

• Flywheel rubs the stator

Recommended checks before installation:

• Confirm 6105A9 or 251-6105A9

• Inspect the taper and keyway

• Check all internal magnets

• Check stator and trigger clearance

• Install with the correct flywheel key

• Torque the retaining nut correctly

• Test ignition output after installation
