A genuine used Yamaha temperature-operated warning switch for selected two-stroke outboard motors.

The switch is fitted to the cylinder head or cooling passage and closes or opens the overheat-warning circuit when engine temperature reaches its calibrated limit.

🔌 Function

The switch monitors metal or coolant temperature at the cylinder head. When the calibrated temperature is reached, it activates the audible alarm and applicable engine-speed-reduction circuit.

  • Overheat alarm remains active when the engine is cold
  • Alarm does not operate during an overheating condition
  • Engine enters speed reduction intermittently
  • Switch fails hot-water continuity testing
  • Wiring insulation is damaged
