Genuine Used Yamaha 2.6L V6 HPDI Flywheel Rotor - Part Number: 68F-81450-00-00


A genuine pre-owned Yamaha flywheel and rotor assembly for selected 150HP, 175HP and 200HP 2.6-litre HPDI outboards.


The flywheel mounts to the crankshaft, carries the permanent generator magnets and provides timing references for the engine's electronic control and ignition systems.

🔌 Function


The rotor's magnets generate electrical energy as they pass the stator and provide rotational references used by the engine-control system.


Common signs of damage:


• Magnets are loose or cracked

• Ring-gear teeth are damaged

• Keyway is worn

• Flywheel taper is fretted

• Stator has rubbing damage

• Charging output is low

• Engine timing signal is unstable

• Flywheel runs out of true

• Corrosion develops around magnets or hub


Recommended checks before installation:


• Inspect every magnet

• Check ring-gear teeth

• Inspect the taper and keyway

• Measure runout where required

• Check the stator and pulser components

• Clean mating tapers

• Install the correct key

• Torque the flywheel nut correctly

• Verify charging and ignition-system output
