• Yamaha two-stroke and four-stroke blocks using the 68T internal-anode design

• HP Range: Catalogued across 6HP - 300HP applications where specified

• Engine Type: Yamaha two-stroke and four-stroke outboard

• Year Range: Serial-number and cylinder-block design dependent

🔌 Function

The anode sacrifices its own metal to protect internal aluminium cooling passages from corrosion.

Common signs of failure:

• Anode has lost approximately half of its original mass

• Anode is deeply pitted, crumbling or consumed

• White corrosion appears inside the water jacket

• Cooling passage is blocked with anode debris

• Engine has operated in saltwater without recent anode inspection
