A genuine Yamaha threaded hose nipple for the lower-unit pitot speedometer system.
The fitting screws into the gearcase and connects the internal pitot-water passage to the small hose leading to the boat speedometer. Water pressure generated as the boat moves is transmitted through the hose to operate the gauge.
