A genuine used Yamaha intake silencer for selected 60HP and 70HP three-cylinder two-stroke outboards.

The silencer mounts over the carburettor intake area to reduce induction noise and control the path of incoming air. Yamaha diagrams list the part on 60HP and 70HP engines from the 1980s through the 2000s.

🔌 Function

The silencer reduces pressure pulsations and noise generated as air is drawn through the carburettors. It also helps shield the intake openings from loose objects beneath the cowling.
