A genuine Yamaha 6Y5 multifunction LCD tachometer for conventional analogue-signal Yamaha outboard rigging.
The gauge displays engine RPM and additional operating information including trim position, warning indicators and operating hours when connected through the correct Yamaha harnesses. The -83 version is primarily associated with 2004-and-earlier rigging architecture, although later engines may use it only with the correct harness and configuration.

🔌 Function
The gauge receives an engine-speed pulse and warning inputs from the outboard. It processes those signals to display RPM, trim position, operating time and visual warning information.
Common signs of failure:

• RPM reads incorrectly because DIP switches are set incorrectly
