🔌 Function

Provides the controlled outlet through which oil is drained from the engine.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Oil weeping or dripping from the drain point between services
• Threads or sealing face damaged, often from over-tightening
• Drain seized, so it will not open at service time
• Oil film and grit collecting around the drain
• Sealing washer flattened, hardened or missing

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the sealing washer at every oil change rather than reusing it, and tighten to the specified figure
• If you are searching under 3583465 or a drain pipe listing, this is the current number
• Catch and dispose of the drained oil properly - it is a waste oil, not to go over the side
